As Maissa Ballout Shamshoum assumes the role of CEO of Hasoub, she brings operational excellence, strategic vision, and a strong commitment to innovation and regional impact. She holds a BA in Accounting and Economics from the University of Haifa and an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

With over 20 years of experience working with startups and global enterprises, Maissa has served as a CFO, advised founders, built governance frameworks, and led growth strategies. Her most recent CFO role was at the global American company Dollar Shave Club. Her leadership combines financial expertise with strategic guidance, accountability, and ecosystem-building, empowering entrepreneurs and positioning Hasoub for its next chapter of growth and impact.

Maissa assumes the role of CEO of Hasoub, succeeding Rabea Zioud, who concludes nine impactful years of leadership marked by significant achievements. Under his guidance, Hasoub evolved from a bold vision into a leading and influential organization advancing entrepreneurship and technological innovation within Arab society.

Rabea implemented the board’s strategy by establishing a central hub, strengthening human capital and entrepreneur support, and encouraging private-sector investment in technology initiatives. Notable milestones include the launch of Hasoub Garage in Ar’ara and winning Innovation Authority tenders to establish Hasoub Labs and Hasoub Angels.
