In partnership with MIT’s Sandbox, The Hasoub - MIT Sandbox Boston Accelerator will support eight startups over an 8-week period. Participants will benefit from in-residence services near MIT’s Cambridge campus, encompassing coaching, workshops, and comprehensive guidance in customer discovery to penetrate the American market.

TARGET

AUDIENCE

Hasoub - MIT Sandbox Boston Accelerator is designed for Arab-led startups. Eligible startups should have completed their Pre-seed or Seed funding rounds, possess a committed team, and be at an advanced stage of R&D or have a market-ready product/MVP.

DETAILED ACTIVITIES

OF THE SUMMER PROGRAM

Pre-Program Activities

Distribution of the SISP preliminary schedule and mentor assignments at least 30 days prior to participant arrival.

During the Program

Initial Phase

Opening session introducing customer discovery principles and program structure.

Introduction of mentors to teams.

Teams present their initial goals based on their first milestone targets.

Mi-Program Review

Mid-SISP Lessons Learned session, scheduled four weeks after the start.

Advanced customer discovery workshop.

Review of teams’ progress on their second milestone, which involves conducting interviews with at least 15 potential partners or customers.

Closing Phase

Final SISP session to review the third milestone, involving interviews with 20-200 potential partners or companies.

Critique and feedback on the final presentations from each team.

In collaboration with MIT's Sandbox and supported by USAID Buidling Regional Economic Bridges (BREB) Activity, the Hasoub - MIT Sandbox Boston Accelerator will host 8 startups for an 8-week program in Boston. Participants will have access to in-residence services near MIT’s Cambridge campus, which include coaching, workshops, and extensive guidance on customer discovery and go-to-market strategies to enter the American market.
